Microsoft SQL Server 2000 end-of-life
Hotel Concepts’ IDPMS software is based on a Microsoft SQL Server database.
In recent years, several new versions of Microsoft SQL Server have been released. The latest version is SQL Server 2008 R2. The previous version of SQL Server 2000 is no longer supported by Microsoft and the support of SQL Server 2005 will expire shortly as well. As a result, Hotel Concepts can only develop future IDPMS versions based on SQL server 2008 R2 and unfortunately we cannot guarantee trouble-free operation of IDPMS when using an older version of SQL Server. Therefore from now on we cannot guarantee support if there is no updated version of SQL Server.
The new SQL Server 2008 (Standard Edition R2) is available as of now. Please contact our Account Management team to inquire about the current pricing. To install and (re) configure your server we must always schedule a consultant on-site who will perform the installation. It is also possible to purchase SQL Server 2008 R2 version elsewhere however it is immanent that the software is installed by Hotel Concepts.
For the correct system requirements for SQL Server 2008 Standard Edition R2 we refer to the Microsoft website. It is important that your server (PC) meets these requirements if you want to install SQL Server 2008 R2.
To make sure you are able to continue using IDPMS properly please check your version and inform us if you are still using SQL Server 2000 or 2005, we can then assist you in taking the right steps.
