23-Jun-09 Hotel Concepts and Newmarket International Complete IDPMS and Delphi Sales & Catering Interface
New interface ties sales and catering applications and property management system for single or multiple properties
Atlanta — June 23, 2009 — Hotel Concepts, a leading global provider of property management/CRS technology and software solutions for the hospitality industry, today announced the completion of an integration between their IDPMS (Integrated Distribution Property Management System) and Newmarket International’s Delphi sales and catering application, the industry’s leading software application for automating sales, marketing and catering processes for hotels, gaming venues, stadiums and restaurants.
“The centralized Delphi database allows hotels to cross-sell and up-sell within a central sales system checking availability across the entire enterprise, as well as sharing and distributing leads”, stated Bas Blommaart, CEO of Hotel Concepts. “Our integration between IDPMS and Delphi provides technology efficiencies, enabling any changes made to group business within Delphi to be immediately mirrored in the IDPMS, so updates to the CRS happen simultaneously.”
Other benefits of the interface include:
· Bookings created in Delphi are automatically created in IDPMS with corresponding blocks and the required rate type. All other pertinent booking fields are populated and mapped where needed.
· Account, travel agent and associated contact information is managed from within Delphi MPE and updated in IDPMS.
Availability between the two systems is always kept in sync.
· Revenue generated by groups in house and corresponding individual folios is shared back to Delphi from IDPMS.
“By streamlining and automating the sales and catering processes with Hotel Concepts’ IDPMS, hotel staff are able to dedicate more time to selling and customer service. Other key benefits of the integrated software network are faster responses to inquiries, more effective management and organization of information, and improved use of resources resulting in a significant time savings,” stated Donna Boudle, Integrations Program Manager for Newmarket International.
The ability to segment operational departments through a centralized database provides hotels with greater customer insight -- helping them better address their needs with highly targeted marketing, advertising and sales campaigns. In addition, consolidated reporting as a whole or at the individual property level is a simple process that provides more detailed business intelligence for better decision making.
"Newmarket's new I-Server platform allowed us to work closely together to build an incredibly functional, state of the art integration between the Delphi sales and catering application and the IDPMS property management system,” stated Blommaart. “The close cooperation and the resources allocated to this project, as well as extensive testing, ensure that the interface has everything our clients could want and more."
